Congrats, Hilary! Best Wishes from DANNON, here in Tarrytown, NY!
I had the pleasure to play golf with you last month, prior to the
McD's LPGA Championship, along with a couple of folks from McD's. (I
was the shorter guy with the 2-yr-old... and I hadn't touched a club
all year.) Little did any of us know we were playing with the next
US OPEN CHAMPION!
I watched the playoff highlights 3-4 times last night and this
morning-- it was just so much fun to see your "Cinderella story"
performance and how well you performed under such extreme pressure.
I'm sure Tylar is also proud. I'll bet you're already putting those
winnings to good use... U of T bills, a real house, etc.
It couldn't happen to nicer people. Congratulations to you both!
Enjoy the notoriety (and endorsements?), but keep your focus where
it is-- on your game, and on each other. It's a pleasure to have met
you.
- Sincerely, Jim Brown
p.s. I think my autographed photo of us just skyrocketed in value.
(better get it framed!)
Congratulations! I was cheering for you! I coach the VT women's
swim team and will draw on your composure. That putt on 18 was
awesome! You didn't even look nervous. I believe you were very
intimidating to the other players. Enjoy it!
- Ned Skinner
Congratulations! Hi Hilary what a game, I was stuck to the edge
of my chair. Congratulations on one of the best wins I've seen for a
long time, and KEEP THE GOOD WORK UP!
- Anthony Hines
The Open. 57 year old golfer, watched tv golf for 35 years,
pulled for you all the way, took off work to watch play-off. Viet
Nam vet got a tear when you cried. CONGRATULATIONS.
- Dan Austin
You are my (Women's) hero! Sunday's final round was the first
Women's golf tournament round I've ever watched in it's entirety. I
was actually more interested in watching you than Tiger that day.
Great job!
- Tom Subido
Best golf match ever! The open playoff was the best golf I've
ever seen. I'm a 3 at 47 years old. My father always told me if you
can chip and putt you can always make par. Thank God the bombers
don't always win. I watched the entire round, it was great. You gave
all of us little guys hope. From a short hitter in upstate New York
who shed a tear when you won. thankyou thankyou thankyou.
- Jim Caschera
Congratulations! I'm not one to get excited about women's golf,
but I was absolutely riveted to the coverage Sunday and Monday.
Congratulations on an incredible win...from a new fan!
- Scott Kersh
Golf. I wanted to say congratulations first of all. I was rooting
for you all the way. I wasn't there but I was watching the OPEN on
TV, my mom even got kind of mad at me because i watched four
straight hours of TV! I am 16 years old, I have played about 20
rounds of golf in my life and I consistently shoot 95. I don't have
transportation to the range or course so i get lucky to practice
once every 2 weeks. i love the game and admire you very much for how
well you played at the OPEN. it was very intense to watch, i wish i
could have been there. i want to play on the LPGA Tour some day, i
am willing to work all i need is a way to get to a range. i am sure
you have gotten a lot of letters but if you could please write me or
email me that would be cool. PS- I am so curious- what is the main
thing you think of when you putt? If you could give me some pointers
to try I would really appreciate it.
- Sabrina Taylor
Forever your fans! My wife and I are thrilled you won! We were
there Friday and Sunday; my wife got your autograph after the
practice range, and you were the most cheerful, gracious pro that
day, taking time to sign everyone who asked. Looking forward to
seeing you win a lot more tournaments, and it's nice to see a
good-looking American gal win the big one.
- Jack and Sandy Trainer

all I want to say Congratulations. I was the the Us open 2 days but
the best part was to see your last putt on the 18th. I got chills it
was so great. Golf is my favorite sport. I want to play in the Us
open in 2007 or 2008. Do you have any advice. I will start to play
golf again soon. I have to have surgery on my right shoulder. Good
Luck hope to see you on the greens soon.
- Sara Taylor
Golf with you and your Father. Hilary: Congratulations on your
excellent victory in the Open. We played golf together about six
years ago at Maryvale Golf Course in Phoenix. I was the one that
tried to talk you into going to Ohio State. I believe you were a
senior in high school at the time. We only played 9 holes, but you
beat both me and your Father. Good luck in the future.
- Jerry Dover
Great job! Hi Hilary!

GREAT WIN !! Congratulations on a great win at the US Open. So
much fun to watch. Also, what a great story...how you got started
playing...how you met your husband...how you almost didn't play this
year etc...Best of Luck to You. (formerly of St. Bonifacius, Minn.)
- Dan Dressen
Congratulations. Your U.S. Open win was superiorly outstanding.
Your scrambling and putting was the best I have seen over my 40
years of following golf on both the LPGA and the PGA. Even Tiger's
talents don't match what you displayed during the Open. Once again,
Congratulation. You have just gained another new Fan. Good Luck in
your golfing career and keep em in the short grass.
- Harold Kirsch in North Carolina
A fan from Argentina. I`m just a young guy from Argentina who
knows how extremely beautiful you are and please let me congratulate
you for your amazing achievement. Take care and God bless you.
- Gabriel Di Giovanni
Congrats! What a great win! Was out on the course on the 4th and
got to watch you and some of the other ladies play. What a marvelous
weekend. Would love to have you sign one of my passes if that
wouldn't be too much trouble. Where would I send it? Thanks again
and congratulations on a wonderful accomplishment!
- Curtis Farmer
